St Thomas is a hub for visitors who are island hopping. Whether you are interested in a day trip or you're staying for a while on other Caribbean islands, here is the ferry info. As with all things on an island, schedules are subject to change so make sure to confirm with the operator.
The St John ferry primarily departs from Red Hook. There is both a passenger ferry and a car ferry which make multiple trips daily. Follow these links for the most up to date schedules on the passenger ferry and the car ferry between St Thomas and St John.
There is also a St John ferry which departs from Crown Bay Marina, but the schedule is limited to 2-3 trips daily.
From Crown Bay Marina, you can pick up the quick 7 minute ferry ride over to Water Island. The ferry operates 7 days a week, be sure to make a reservation if you plan to take the late ferry back! Note, this is a passenger ferry only.
There are two companies operating a ferry from downtown Charlotte Amalie to Christiansted once daily. You can view both schedules here. The journey is just about 2 hours. St Croix is not a viable day trip via ferry.
